Purpose-Built for Children Who Need More
Every space, every staff member, and every schedule at PHM Academy is designed with the whole child in mind — including children with autism, sensory differences, and developmental needs.
A Calming Space Built for Every Brain
Our dedicated sensory room gives children a safe, regulated environment to reset and thrive. Designed for children with autism, sensory processing differences, and high emotional needs — and welcoming to all.
Small Classes. Big Results.
Our Micro School program (grades K-5) keeps classes intentionally small so every child gets individualized attention, structured learning, and the confidence to grow at their own pace.
Built on What Matters Most
Love
Every child is greeted with warmth and care, creating a safe space where they feel truly valued and nurtured each day.
Character
We instill confidence, respect, and responsibility — building the social-emotional foundation children need to thrive.
Integrity
Honesty and faith-based values guide everything we do, from our curriculum to how we build trust with every family.
Daycare
A nurturing, sensory-aware daycare for ages 3-5. Structured play, warm routines, and RBT-trained staff.

Micro School
A small-class elementary micro school for grades K-5.

VPK
Florida's Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program preparing children for kindergarten success.

After-School Program
A safe and supportive place for children to continue learning and receive care after the school day ends.

Summer Camp & Drop-In
Fun, engaging summer experiences and flexible drop-in care for families who need occasional, dependable support.
Heard from PHM Families
"I toured 6 daycares in Seminole County. PHM was the only one that actually knew what RBT training meant and had a real sensory room — not just a corner with a beanbag. My son has been thriving here for 8 months."
Maria T.
Mom of 4-year-old with autism
"Our daughter came to us with significant trauma history and sensory sensitivities. PHM staff were patient, communicative, and genuinely warm from day one. The ELC covered most of the cost — we had no idea it was even an option."
DeShawn & Keisha R.
Foster parents in Sanford
"The Micro School got both my kids reading and doing real math before kindergarten. The teachers actually know their names, their moods, their quirks. It feels like a family, not a facility."
Jennifer L.
Mom of twins, ages 3 and 5

— Annie Mkoma, Founder

Born from a Mother's Heart
Passionate Hands of Mercy Academy was founded by Annie Mkoma, a mother and DCF social worker who is deeply committed to creating a safe, welcoming space for every child. Her experience serving children and families has shaped a school community where foster children, adoptive children, and all learners are accepted, supported, and treated with dignity and care.
As a mother and caregiver to 4 beautiful children, Annie's journey deepened her conviction that early years deserve more than supervision — they deserve intentional guidance, love, and a community that truly sees each child.
